Jose Zayas, PhD
Founder
Dr. Zayas founded the company in 2014 and is the President and CEO. He has over 35 years of experience in operations, quality management, and research and development in antimicrobial molecules and products with an emphasis in dermatology and respiratory applications. Dr. Zayas headed the analytical section for GlaxoSmithKline and formulated generic injectables at Lederle Parenteral, VP of Quality & Regulatory Affairs at Ionetix Corporation, and was most recently SVP of Operations at BioPharmX Corporation. Dr. Zayas has hosted and/or participated in over 40 FDA pre-approval inspections, completed ANDA submissions, and has experience in teams for submission of IND’s and NDA’s. As founder of Zaycor Industries, a contract testing laboratory, research and development, and consulting firm, Dr. Zayas brings expertise in technology transfer, manufacturing process, stability studies and all CMC-related items to Zaycor Healthcare. He has authored over a dozen publications across multiple disciplines and is the author of a patent and several patent applications. He holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from The Ohio State University and completed his postdoctoral in organic chemistry from Princeton University.
Lourdes Ramos, BSMT
Co-Founder
Mrs. Ramos is COO and co-founder of Zaycor Healthcare, Corp. She has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Mrs. Ramos was Chief Operations Manager for the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Additionally, she was Director of Billing and Finance for the Department of Medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine. As General Manager for Zaycor Industries, she streamlined financial operations, and developed strategies for market diversification into consulting and outsourcing of resources. She has also developed the benchmarking of clinical research organizations, as well as contract manufacturing operations for Zaycor Healthcare. As part of the consulting area, her expertise in industrial microbiology has been recognized by companies like Schering-Plough, and Cardinal Health. Mrs. Ramos holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Puerto Rico, and a master’s in clinical technology from the Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico. She also obtained certifications under the State of Florida Health Department’s Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel in the areas of microbiology, serology, clinical chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, and molecular pathology and under the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Additionally, Ms. Ramos has collaborated in developing IND submission strategies, and has become an expert in topical use antiseptic regulations.
Juan Sebastian Vazquez, MD
Medical Affairs Collaborator and Advisor for Zaycor Healthcare, Corp.
Dr. Juan Sebastian Vazquez is an experienced and established clinician currently working as a Wound Care Physician in Colorado. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at The Pennsylvania State University with a minor in Health Policy Administration. He graduated from The University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where he completed his medical education and graduated in the top of his class with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He received his surgical training from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center. During his Trauma and Burn Surgery Research Fellowship he was invited to present his research at several national and local medical conferences. In addition to working as a full-time wound care specialist, he is also currently pursuing an Executive MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado. Dr. Vazquez brings clinical expertise as a skilled physician and a published author who has worked within a wide variety of settings in the healthcare care industry.
